Wooden Honey Spoon
Crafted from smooth, sustainably sourced acacia wood, this honey spoon is the ideal companion for our electuaries—preserving their integrity, flavour, and medicinal potency with every use. Unlike metal utensils, which react with honey’s natural acidity, wood remains completely neutral, ensuring your electuary stays as pure and vibrant as the day it was made.
Naturally antimicrobial and richly grained, acacia wood contains tannins and phenolic compounds that resist bacteria and stay clean between uses. Its non-reactive nature protects the delicate enzymes that give raw honey its healing power, preventing oxidation and preserving freshness, aroma, and long-term quality.
A simple tool, elevated by nature’s design—made to honour your daily ritual and safeguard the magic within every jar.

GUA SHA BENEFITS & HISTORY
Body Gua Sha (meaning "to scrape away") has deep roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), dating back over 2,000 years. It originated as a folk healing technique across China and Southeast Asia, used to treat illnesses related to heat, stagnation, and poor blood circulation.
In TCM, disease often arises from blocked Qi (energy) and blood stasis. Gua Sha was developed to "scrape away" these blockages and restore the body's natural flow of energy. The scraping brings up petechiae (known as "sha") — small red or purple dots — which indicate the release of stagnation.
Historically, Gua Sha was used to:
Boost circulation and lymphatic flow
Expel heat and inflammation from the body
Relieve pain, tension, and fatigue
Strengthen immunity and support detoxification
