ANTIOXIDANT & MINERAL RICH PLANTS

STRENGTHEN & REJUVENATE THE PHYSICAL BODY & BEYOND

HORSETAIL

According to the “Doctrine of Signatures”, plants often resemble the condition or the part of the body it can be used to treat. Horsetail stalks bear a striking resemblance to human joints, and it is now known that they are remarkably high in silica – a substance which preserves elasticity and connective tissue.

Silica is believed to be key to the optimal synthesis of collagen, essential to the strength and elasticity of skin. Making Horsetail a sought-after 'beauty herb' around the world for centuries. With an impressive ability to heal both internal and external wounds rapidly.

Horsetail is also a highly astringent herb, meaning it's useful for flushing out toxins, and has an affinity towards the kidneys and urinary tract.

HIBISCUS

Hibiscus's tart and slightly sweet flavour reminiscent of cherry or cranberry make this one of the most delicious plants in the herbal toolkit. Not to mention it's deep ruby colour that also makes Hibiscus remedies a joy to view and consume.

This rich colour and flavour profile also alludes to Hibiscus's potent medicinal effects. While hibiscus is a diuretic, meaning it helps flush out excess fluid, it's also a moistening herb that helps hydrate and tone the inner tissue of the body to keep cells plump and functioning optimally.

Also extremely rich in vitamin C, Hibiscus is an antioxidant powerhouse, kept closely guarded as a beauty treatment amongst ancient Indian Royalty.

NETTLE

An absolute nutritive powerhouse, Nettle is one of the richess plant sources of Iron, amino acids and vitamin K, along with many more that make this herb incredible for detoxifing, strengthening and healing at cellular level.

With astringent and diuretic properties, Nettle has been used traditionally as a remedy for skin conditions. Flushing the body of toxins, tightening pores and quenching deficiency’s with it's potent nutrient contents.

As a spring tonic, nettle is primarily used for revitalising and re-nourishing the body from the foundational components of bone and muscle, all the way to the surface layers of the skin, after bouts of deficiency or neglect.

Energetically, Nettle acts like a old grandmother, whipping you into shape. Coming from love and nourishment, she gives organs, muscles, skin, blood and limbs the medicine they truly need. She doesn’t waste time, she gets right to the task at hand of cleaning the house.

ROSEMARY

A herb you're surely familiar with for it's culinary appeal, Rosemary is also a highly medicinal plant and often one of the first herbal allies for those venturing down the plant path due to it's wide variety of uses.

Primarily, Rosemary is known to encourage blood flood and circulation, particularly around the head. Alluding to it's usefulness in hair growth, memory and dispelling head-aches. Also a highly astringent, anti-viral and anti-fungal herb, Rosemary is very effective at cleansing toxins and viruses from the body, which has has seen it commonly used as a treatment for acne and skin conditions.

Rosemary's rich content of essential oils, antioxidants and B Vitamins has also seen it used in folk herbalism for centuries to protect the skin from sun exposure, calm the nervous system and promote internal and external youthfullness.

IRISH MOSS

Recognised by traditional cultures as a nutrient dense medicine, particularly during the great Irish famine, where Irish Moss served as a crucial source of essential vitamins and minerals necessary for survival

Irish Moss contains 92 out of the 102 minerals the human body needs to thrive – some of them being Iron, Zinc, Magnesium, Manganese, Calcium, Iodine, Sodium, Selenium and more. While also containing essentials vitamins like B Vitamins, A, C, D and E, plus an abundance of other trace minerals that work synergistically to promote entire body health.

These incredible properties make Irish Moss wonderful for improving gut health, immunity, hormonal imbalance, coughs and mucus, energy, focus – to name only a few. However we’ve included it in this blend particularly for it’s high mineral content that works to increase collagen production, strengthen hair, skin and nails, while also nourishing the mineral matrix that makes up our bones, cartilage and foundation of self.
